Dude! Where’s my BASH? is now open!

The title says it all.

But just in case the references to the terminal and Tux didn’t give it away…

Dude! Where’s my BASH?, or dwmb (!’? if I want to be cryptic) for short, is a tech site. I plan to deal mostly with Linux, and other open source software, I might venture into closed source stuff every now and then, or maybe even hardware if I somehow obtain money, or get people who have money to blow on hardware join my review team.

A bit of background on myself and Linux. I started using Linux in QEMU around seventh grade to try to get around a firewall, needless to say, I had no idea how Linux or firewalls worked. I currently run Linux on a Lenovo G555 (awesome for the price, but it’s tough to get drivers for), I didn’t state what distro since it’s likely to change at any point in time. I am a bit of a distrohopper and rarely use any one distro for over a couple months. I don’t just mean VMs either, I mean full installs on my primary computer. Despite this the only things I’ve ever had installed on my computer were Ubuntu, Kubuntu, openSUSE, Sabayon, and Arch Linux. Most stuff I try just proves it wants to be awful with my hardware right off the live media.

About DucTape

So, I'm Mitchell, or DucTape, or Mr. Awesome, depending on what name I feel like using today. I founded DWMB and am the head admin guy. Yes, that is my offocial title, "head admin guy". If you haven't figured out and like Linux (I'm not saying GNU/Linux since Android is a pretty cool guy too), BSD, Haiku, and stuff like that, then just leave. Really, you probably shouldn't internet at all if you can't figure out simple stuff like that.
